Help: Creaking Steering Wheel

My steering wheel creaks slightly when I turn it from left to right (but not right to left). Any thoughts on what it could be and what I can do about it?

happens with my car and my friends m3 sometimes... sorry, but i dont kno ohw to fix it, i just thought u would like to kno ur not the only one

Hey i recently had that problem. Its the control arms you need to go get them fixed.

Mt steering wheel creaks a little bit too. How the hell could it be the control arms, the sound is coming from the wheel area? Are we talking about the same creaking noise?

yeah if the sound is coming from beneath the car i bet its the control arm bushings. Because they will creak if you turn your steering wheel.

Yeah, it's a creaking sound from the steering wheel (inside the cabin). I wish I could see an obvious area to oil...but I don't.

not that this helps much, but my car does that too, except mine only does it when turning to the left. Maybe it's a age/mileage issue. I have a '94 mazda with 124,000, it just started recently

he..it was happening to me for the longest time. it was so sad. it sounded like rubber on rubber friction. i was going to get it fixed some how from my mechanic. a few months later, it went away. :P
