I bought and installed some cool looking angle lights from ebay.... I installed the main assembly and side lights... connected the bulb wires and everything works... High beam, low beam!
EXCEPT the halo ring do NOT turn on! I know it's because I still have FOUR loose wires that still need to be connected... two red and two white per assembly. I realize one is positive and one is negative... but where does everyone tap into to get juice for the lights? NO instructions came with my new toy. HELP!
To do list:
Suspension--- researching
UUC System U TDM- 3/05
M50 manifold converstion 3/05
off to the tuning shop for custom software 4/05
Cams/lightened flywheel, throttlebody........ well lets see what happens
Thanks for all the help! Hooked them up to the parking lights. They work great!
However... now I have one more question. The FOUR rings are not EXACTLY the same color. They kind of range from blue/gray to blue/purple... any reason for this?
He said it right E-bay, However keep them on fora good drive and see what they look like when they have reached full temperature.
This is why I buy all my Lighting from Umnitza
hmmm.... so basically... "you get what you pay for!"
I guess for now they will have to do... my ride looks 1000% better than the orginal faded headlights. However, long term I will probably unload these and install the Euro's.
Someone should add these E-Bay lighting experiences to the permanent lighting thread...so there will be no more questions any more on where/what to buy...

there will always be questions hardly anyone searches and hardly anyone actually reads the faq's before asking a question, it's ok though i guess for the most part, because it gives us smartie pants people the oppurtunity to enlighten others, also sometimes there are questions that might have been answered before but the question coming up again has something different to it and the person needs more answers, wow i added a lot to that, i was originally just gonna post "there will always be questions :P "
Sorry, maybe that came out wrong...I didn't mean that the thread shouldn't have been started...more that he shouldn't have bought from E-bay...and that if he checked ahead of time...well....maybe life would just be a little sweeter...and he'd be a little poorer..
Wow... you BMW Guru's are a tough crowd. I just bought my beemer four weeks ago and joined this forum two weeks ago. I'm very "green" when it comes to The Good, The BAD and The UGLY regarding BMW's. But I do my own work and try to find out what I can before hand. (AND YES... I DO SEARCHES before asking quesiton) I didn't have a budget of $500.00 for headlights... more like $200.00. So I did what I could.
However the original owner didn't even know these kind of forums existed... so I must not be all that dumb.
I hope they work out for you....not a tough crowd...but for many of us...we have either been burnt by E-Bay, or experienced others here who have been...thats all...when it comes to E-bay you get what you pay for...for the most part
