Help With Aiming Ellipsoids

i have recentally done some very pleasing work with my new hella ellipsoids...

i dont know wat year it is.. but my friend owned a maxima and some cough..Indian..cough lady SMASHED him from behind in the center of Inman Ave and Grove Ave in edison,nj about 2 weeks ago...she hit him so hard that the gas tank fell loose and the rear axle was snapped in half ... not to mention that his trunk space became his back seat. .. luckily he, nor she, wasnt hurt....

on the flip side.. i was the new owner of his HIDs from the front end.. (he parted out the entire car) so for $25 bucks.. he hooked me up with his HIDs..

i dont know wat size they were but they were remarkably similar to the H7's found in my low beams. The only modification needed was to cut a small piece off the top portion and make a tab out of the top piece i cut...

Now that they are in.. i cannot determine what height to set the beams at...


is there any generally accepted height or width of the beam ???

how did you guys determine how to setup your lights??

Put up a piece of tape on a wall where you want it, Turn lights on and adjust accordingly untill desired hieght is reached
