Replacing the clutch on my son's 328is. I have all the bolts out (I think).
Transmission is hanging on the starter. It is a "threaded starter" and the two bolts have been removed fromt the transmission side (and what a pain that was). The starter still seems connected to the transmission. Any ideas?

BTW - those torx bolts are a pain! Three stripped, even with the correct tools. Extraction sockets got all but one. It was fortunately the one on the driver's side next to where the clutch hose bracket is. I was able to use a short, 90 degree die grinder with a 1 1/2 inch cutoff disk to get through about 1/3 of the bolt. a bare hacksaw blade cut the rest of the way through. I don't drink, but I might when I get this finished! never had so muc trouble doing a clutch job.
