heater control module frozen lights dim

1998 318i. Heater and a/c module lights go dim and no functions work. After a minute or two or five lights come back on bright and all functions back to normal. Wierd. Anybody have this happen before? Thanks for info.

hey man....yea this happened to me about 5 months ago...it was so frustrating! At times I couldnt even control the A.C. It would be 100 degrees out and because it was malfunctioning...it would continually blow out hot air! I had to change the capacitor on the circuit board.
