There are a few things I don't know anything about on cars, One of those things being the AC and Heating system.
Anyway here is my dilema. My heater previously worked all the time. Now it only works when I am driving over 30mph constantly. If not, it acts as if the vent is on (no hot air). And nothing when I am stopped as well. I know that on certain vehicles the heater and ac are tied together somehow. My ac compressor is disabled (removed belt). Any explanations?
If you have the rotory control turn the driver side full clockwise past the detent to get into the emergency heat mode. If this gives heat your problem is electrical. Don't rule out fuses. If the emergency mode does not yeild heat the problem is either air lock from improper cooling system bleeding or something got dislodged when the thermostat was replaced and is plugging the heater valve. If you have the digital control to similate the test which I mentioned you can disconnect the electricial cable from the heater valve. This will fully open the valve. The valve is on the firewall on the engine side between the brake booster and the engine.
See if this quote helps.
