Headlight upgrades

First off, money is no object.
I was hoping to get some useful input from anyone who has already performed this conversion. As far as I can see, the hella celis kit looks a bit odd on the e36 cars due to the fact that none of these cars origionally came with chrome housings. Some of the lesser kits (inpro, etc.) have the black housings but the rings appear "blueish" and not similar to the newer factory light systems. And lastly, once you buy these kits, is it cost effective to add the hid bulbs? I don't mind spending money on beautiful cars, but I never like wasting it.

you can get the hella kit with a black housing... I'm looking into it myself. They crop up from time to time on eBay, but are rarer than the chrome ones, which I think are ugly.

Try bavauto.com I believe they have the ones that look most like oem

Black Hellas...cool, I will deffinatiely look in to that. What about the HID bulbls? Do th hallogen (H1 or better) do they look horrible with the Celis (or similar) kit?
