ok well, im still new to the bmw engines, but i see alot of bitching on the forums about lack of power but also lack of money or ideas to make it faster haha. ok well if someone could follow up on this with engine codes and match for model and year, and i will investigate a little bit on whether or not head swapping might be for you. a head swap from a higher output motor to an identical or similar block might give better compression, thus giving more horsepower. some things you guys might want to try besides your intakes and cams, and haha....haha.. exhaust. try milling the deck. its a little expensive but it can prove to get better compressions and thus higher horsepower. this is not generally recomended unless you are really serious about squeezing power, but it will work maybe. but yea, someone give me some motor codes and what you ARE POSITIVE about on identical blocks in different cars. i might be able to do some searching, and come up with a chart of what you can swap onto what. im pretty sure this can be done with something, its not uncommon. think chevy and ford guys always swapping heads to different size engines etc.
