Haynes Repair Manuel

Found Haynes Manuel on www.bavauto.com. Im pretty sure i want to order it buti want to make sure that there is nothing better out there. So is there a better repair manuel for my 96 328 IS? Is $15 a good price- (shipping not included) Thanks.

I have a chiltons.
but still plan on getting bently and or a haynes.

The more info the better.

How do you like Chiltons? Do you feel it has helped you, are teh instructions easy to follow? Is this the only manuel you have seen and if no how would it comare to others?

Yes, $15 for a Haynes manual is about right. I had a Chilton manual for my 95 Mustang, and have a Haynes manual for my '97 328i, and I would say they are the same. I can't say about accuracy, but for volume of information, they are the same.

I can't do very much work on the car myself, which is why I bought the Haynes manual. Even so, it didn't have the one bit of information that I was specifically looking for: proper wheel lug nut torque numbers. (Since found out that it is 80 ft/lbs)

Although it doesn't have everything, it is definitely worth the small investment. I'd say get it.

I've been lucky enough to not need it....
I havent compared it to the others but leibniz seems know somethin there..

I have the haynes it pretty good but alot of the instruction is vague. Not a ton of content, but for simple things its worht the $15. By the way you can get one at advanced auto or pep boys and not have to pay for shipping.
