Have To Push Door To Get It To Lock

hi im new here anyway
on my sisters 318is when you shut to door you have to tap it lightly for it to lock i noticed that the window doesnt go all the way up but when you tap the door it does then it will lock whats wrong
and if you are wondering i dont have my bmw yet because i dont have permit but i will in a few moths

the hinges on the door need to be adjusted or the locking mechanism, one of those has shifted and it doesn't close smothley any more which is why you have to push it shut because it hangs up.
