Have anyone chipped 318i????

hey guys,
i have a 98 318i (M44 1.9L) have any of you chipped your 318's? i heard you cant chip it yourself and you have to send in the ECU to the company... all replies will be greately appreciated

All 318i owners want the same thing. More power! Unfortunately you bought the wrong car for that. I don't think chips do much for the 318i, and the only thing that will is forced induction, and it's expensive. Sorry to burst your bubble man, but it will cost more than it's worth to give your car more power.

For a 98 you don't want a chip you want a shark injector. It will hook up to and reprogram the regular ecu. The chip is for 95 and before.

yell yeah long live 318i's but yeah they're not that powerful...thats why i put in an e36 m3 engine in it...took alot of work and wasn't cheap but now she rips

Nice!!! you should of went with S14 M3 motor and kept it e30... but e36 S52 is nice too
