Has Anyone Tried Using a Slide Hammer to Yank RTAB Out From Flange Side

Has Anyone Tried Using a Slide Hammer to Yank RTAB Out From Flange Side?

Place an appropriate diameter HD washer or socket or some such on non-flange side. Put slide hammer shaft thru the bushing sleeve and the washer, or other. Attach end of slide hammer to washer, or other, and have at it.

Whadda ya'll think? HF has a set on sale right now for $22.

TIA,

Thanks to those who replied. No need for further replies for my benefit. Obviously if one has something that others might find worth while, please do. I may return to comment sometime later.

Ya'll will be glad to know that I have ordered BimmerWorld's rent to buy tool.

And I've got a quote for $120 from a real good BMW only garage. After other quotes for ~$200 I was really surprised. In fact I was surprised at that at first, but got more than one at that. Now I know others have gotten it done for that, and it can go as high as several hundreds of dollars, so I feel very fortunate.

However, it took awhile to decide to cough up the money given my meager SS income, but right now I intend to have them do it.

I'll offset the cost of the tool either selling it or I'm inclined to rent it out.

Thanks again,
