Has Anyone Bought These M3 Wheels I Found On EBay?
I recently purchased a 1999 M3 but really dislike the particular "standard" wheels on it. I cant spring for what BBS RS-GT's or anything remotely similar costs, sadly.
I found these as sold on E-Bay by stores with good ratings. The price is great, has anyone tried either of them? I need to know if these are quality, solid, strong wheels, as the roads in our area are less than optimum in many places. Thanks for any input, its greatly appreciated.
about two weeks ago and asked where they were made. Two days later someone finally called me back and said Korea..... If they were made in Italy I'd have considered it but those Asian knock off's will bend if you hit an acorn in the road!!! Don't do it!!!!!
They look good. As long as you aren't doing stunts with the car they will work fine. They must be DOT approved to be sold in this country so they have to meet the minimum pressure tests, and those are pretty high anyway. So what if they bend? You just order another one. They're not forged like the factory rims would be but then again they're not $800 apiece either. So if you get 3 or 4 years out of them before you sell the car, and the finish still looks good, you did great. If you like 'em get 'em.
I bought the second set of rims you listed there, but not chrome, just silver finish, from that rim dealer and the powder coat finish is truly awesome. Much deeper luster than just the stock painted rims. They balanced out fine, ran true, and look great. I put a set of Yokahama AS430 225/45-17 tires on 'em. Its a great street tire and 400 AA/A rated. I just called the rim dealer and paid with a credit card and had the rims at my front door 3 days later.
I needed 'em in a hurry 'cause its my kids car and she smashed the stock ones into a street median and broke two

That's just the Ebay picture, I assume the photographer didn't pay attention to it? When you get the rims there's nothing on 'em, you put the stickers on if you want. I didn't even put the little sticker on there, I think my dog ran off with 'em. They use the stock center caps and black lug bolts.
