ok two things.
firstly when i apply the handbrake on a hill , no matter how strong or weak i pull it, it will roll about 5 cms them stop . why is this?? i don't mean dip like handbrake on facing up hill then the weight shifts making it look like the arse lifts up. the whole car rolls.
secondly (and this is why i don't use the handbrake now) here's what happens when left for more than about a day with the hand brake on :
get in car ( )
start engine etc
reverse gear
handbrake off
reverse out the driveway
(horrible bit) an almighty bang!!!
i took the rear brake assembly apart to find the locating springs for the parking shoes had literally been ripped out of the plate in which they key themselves into. so this then got mashed up in the hub.
it's done this three times now, why ? only on the o/s. costing me a fortune in service kits
please help me.
also apolgies for not getting on here as often i should. life throws unexpected things at you.
yep. everything is as it should be. but after about a day it just wrenches the pins out when it moves. the handbrake mechanism is ok, all the bits move when the lever is lifted. it's getting right on my tits
alas not. it's all back together for now. i only use the hand brake if i'm in town. i daren't use it overnight. too much cost, again.
why does it roll too? shouldn't do surely. argh!!!
Oh bugger, I forgot... Software upgrade mate, it'll be available soon... Please give it a go ;-)
They tend to do this while I am online because I am "Not wired up correctly" hahahaha
