h1 to h4 conversion

does anyone know where i can find a kit to convert the standard h1 plug for my low beams to an h4?
i have the old h1 bulbs in my car and i was wanting to upgrade to h4, however they won't fit onto the standard h1 plug. any place that sells conversion kits?

h4s are generally for sealed beam designs or high/low dual fil bulbs. If your plan is to use an h4 bulb as a low and then use both for your high....why?

If thats wyour plan, you could just buy an h4 plug at any autoparts store, splice into the highbeam wire for the third prong and be done with it.

All this is assuming you already have a way to fit the h4 bulb, as no one makes an h4 conversion for the ellipsoid or US spec lights that I'm aware of.

the lights will only fit an h4 bulb, i just need a way to connect it to the other harness. the problem im having is, the h4 connector has 3 wires, and the h1 harness in there only has 2. what am i to do with the extra wire? ghead

Again, what are you trying to do? What bulb only comes in h4? and where are you located? If that Huntington VA or any other place in the states, you don't have H1s unless you upgraded to projector housings.

Back to the point though. H4s are dual filiment bulbs. They are high beam and low beam in the same bulb. Why do you need such?
