Greeetings and question

hello everyone!! I tried the lounge to make a newbie greeting but seems not to be working for me.(clearance issues?) I have a 99 323is that I just bought and runs fine. I have 2 questions.... are they prewired for fog lights? I see a wire from under the dashboard with a switch attached to it(was hanging loose)and the wires are black /white. the other ? is it a e36 or e46??? Seems they both were available in 1999.

definetely should be. Does your headlight switch have a circular push button next to it? For your foglights it should just be a wire with a connector on the end, it has the type that you push onto the fog lights and they will click. To take the fogs off you would just grab the 2 tabs on the sides and squeeze them and pull. A pic would help.
