I took my car in yesterday to have the head liner redone(which I am not happy with anyways, it doesn't match as well as it could have). The real problem is I was leaving and going down the road and noticed alot more road noise, I look in my mirror and see that there is something sticking out my window. The autotrim place somehow cut my rubber door seal molding up at the window and it was sticking straight out. I am about to drive down there and yell at them. I call my dealership to see how much it is to replace and they want $240 for the whole piece. It goes all the way around the doorsill.
Does anyone know of a place on the internet that I can look for these type of parts, just in case they say they won't do anything?
Problem is that I am not 100% sure they cut it. It is old and I never use my passenger door so I don't really see it. It could have had a small cut in it already, but when they put the window up it caught and pushed the rubber outside the car, cutting/tearing the rubber further. I took it to them today and they don't think they did it, but were going to look into a replacement for me.

Of course they don't think they did it! Don't let them dick you around, be firm.
Before the shop: weather lining fine.
After the shot: weather lining screwed up.
And it's exactly in the spot they were working on. Keep on them, don't let them blow you off. I need the same thing on my passenger door but I was quoted around 100. Or maybe that's because my neighbor (sells these things) told me any old liner would work. Either way, ride their arse. If you're under 18, get your dad or someone equally scarey to do it for ya. They're prob going to "look into it" and never call you back...
I hate when people like that try to scheme their way out of something like that... especially when it's done to your car!

what dealership is this Cruzin...I got my cowl trim replaced the same day....remember they are like 3 or 4 main dealerships in our area....plus when you get out to LI there is like 3 or 4 more for all the super wealth zip codes.
Dudes check ebay for stuff like this....I see door molding trims all the time either new or used from junk cars.
also if I don't say it and it hasn't been said already....someone will say Bavauto.com
check www.realoem.com as well the keep alot of parts specifically for E36 BMWs.
My main problem is that it was not cut before, as least not that bad, it could have had a little cut I really don't remember. It is on a part where the bottom of the window would be(with door closed), so it is not by where they were doing work. I am going to talk to them again on my day off Wednesday. The cost for the window seal is more than the cost of the headliner being replaced too.
