GM LS1 V8 into 318is

I saw pictures of someone putting an LS1 from a Camaro into a 318is but I havent been able to find anything about it online. Has anyone ever seen this>?

Ya, a guy I met at the auto part store had an E30 M3 with the LS1 (Corvette, I think) in it.
That thing is a beast!! He gave my friend and I a ride down the highway, and was barely stepping on the gas and that car pulled sooo hard. It was cool.

i see it like it's combining the strong points of two cars

i mean f bodies themselves are pretty junky, but the motor is outstanding and inexpensive. and the 318 is very solid and well built, but the motor is very weak and bmw motors are very expensive.
