The rear passenger door window switches glow orange all the time! When the car is off and locked and keys out of the ignition the light will always be on. Now, this only works on the drivers side but on the passenger side its never worked, i took apart the switch and found a little orange LED deep inside, too little to fix. then i got a new switch for like $10 but on that one it doesnt work either. i just want to know if your cars have these led's in back door window switches, obviously in sedan cars!

I don't have it on my coupé.
I mean, I do have 4 switches (power side windows in a coupé ) but they don't glow when my car is off?
yup you have a fault somewhere im assuming if you tried a different switch you may have to start tracing back towards the source to find the fault. eww i hate troubles like this one.
unless your lights are on while your car is off the switches shuold not be glowing... looks like youve got an electrical problem... those are never fun, so good luck!

lol thnx!
do they only illuminate when u turn the lights on or all the time?
i figured out why mine are on 24/7. its because in the fuse box in the engine compartment there is a wire thats soldered from the window fuse to the lighter fuse (which is on 24/7). someone must have done this because there is a fault somewhere else with the window wireing so the windows werent working. oh man, any ideas on how to find where the actual fault is?
If you can't find the problem, then just change the wiring to the headlights instead of the lighter.
The better setup, however, would include using a relay. The in and out terminals on the relay should be B+ and the power input to the windows. The control signal should be something that is not on 24/7. My suggestion is the headlights, since that way your window.... oh, crap. I guess that way the windows will not be functional unless the headlights are on. Hmmmm.. then use the ignition instead.... although then you will not be able to roll your windows up or down unless the car is on. Maybe you should try to look into fixing the wiring problem with the windows. It may ba a simple fix, but sometimes people are lazy and just patch up a quick fix like the one they did on your car.

i've got no idea even where to start looking, do i trace back from the fuse box or what? well since windows are ment to work whenver the car is on and not just when the lights are on that means the illumination should be on when the car is on too, non-dependant on the lights!? is this right?
