Gearbox Leak

Ok my gearbox is leaking like the title says. Firstly its not the pan gaskets before evryone assumes them. ghead
It seems to be leaking from the middle of the bellhousing. I was just wondering wat in there has a chance to be leaking. Its not leaking majorly, i just like to have my car in perfect order.

If anyone has a diagram of the gearbox layout of a 1994 bmw 318i m43 "not 42 but is very similar" can you post it in this thread and i will see if i can point out wat i believe may be leaking and we can work from there

ghead No one can help me?? common i know the expertise of some of the people here, just even express an opinion or a guess, because that leads onto someone saying nope, its gotta be this and blah blah blah, and then we finally get the answer

the bell housing has your clutch and all its components. are you sure its leaking there and not near the back of the housing where the actual transmission is?

Ill get a photo for you its leaks down the side of the bell housing onto the small pan thats why originally i thought it was the pan gasket "btw" its auto

It could be the rear crank oil seal... that would tend to drip oil into your bellhousing. Is it motor oil, or ATF?

Just replaced the rear crank seal, cant be it :P umm can anyone get me a diagram or layout of the auto transmission of the e36 318 and i will show u where abouts it seems to be comming from and we can work on the problem from there
