Gauge lights

probably been asked before but i couldnt find it, k problem is one half of my gauge lights are slowing dimming and burning out, the speed gauge and gas gauge illuminate fine, but the other side with rpm's and coolant is burning out, i was wondering if anyones replaced this before and if was easy, and are the bulbs the same as ones used in the climate controls?

The instrument cluster actually uses 12v5w wedge bulbs. Its very easy to do, just remove the two torx bolts that hold the instrument cluster in place (T25 or T20) and unplug the three connectors from the cluster. You're going to have to wiggle it out by pulling it and turn the steering wheel to wedge it out. Hope this helps.

EDIT: Sorry, the three 12v5w wedge bulbs are the main three, then there are smaller bulbs as well. I assume they are similar to the Climate Control bulbs.

My gauge cluster, AC controls and shifter indicator lights all went out at the same time about 2 months back.. Anyone have any ideas ? I figure all these lights are also controled by the dimmer switch.. Could that be it ? Bad dimmer switch ?

Have you checked the fuse? There is one fuse that controls all the interior illumination. #37 maybe, but I can't remember. Just look on your fusebox cover.
