Buy a new one that has a lock on it maybe. Then you have abit more peace of mind that nobody can screw you car up horribly.

When you lock your car, gas door also locks.

My gas door locks when I lock the car. You might check and see if the lock solenoid on the gas door is broken...

umm mine just unscrews and comes completely off as does hers... so she pulled it out and put it on the pump and drove off. weird thing is, car has been running fine for like a week without it. She just now noticed it was gone.

no no no, on the door, there's a little caddy thingy, a holder bracket for the cap.
Mine comes completely off too, if I wanted to, I could throw it at other cars or something, it's not teathered. (I hate those!)
