hi guys me again. ive got the 98 328is and passed my emissions test today. im happy about that but im getting a fume smell inside the car. the car is tuned up new plugs air filter etc. the car only has 80,000 kms on it and i use premium fuel. could it maybe be the icv valve needing a good cleaning? it does run smooth. any thought and thanks in advance.
fume smell like rotten eggs? or fume smell like normal exhaust smell?
If you're vehicle is running smooth then it would not be the ICV. Have you done a visual inspection of the exhaust system for any under carriage leaks from the pipes. Those leaks 'may' sometimes allow fumes into your vehicle. Have your mech or yourself check the manifold for leaks as well.
