Ok here is the dilema, I filled my car up with gas and the gas pump didnt automaticly stop, it spilled like 1/2 gallon of gas so i had to manually stop it. I think a total of 13 gallons went in the car. When i turned on my car the fuel gauge moved up to a little more then 1/2 full. Now i driven about 130+ miles and i THINK it moved down a little but not sure. Could possibly my guage be messed up?
Could be. First off, the gas pump is messed up too, unless its an old one. But the gauge is probably messed up too. Any problems before this? Its possible that the overflowing of the gas could have messed it up temporarily or for good.
Try filling up again, at a good pump and keep track of your mileage. You should be able to get at least 320 miles out of a full tank of gas, pending on highway or city mileage. Keep track if the gauge moves along with mileage you put on your car.

sounds to me like you have about half a tank of gas left. What's the confusion?

your gauge has probably just caught up to the actual level. Keep driving it and see if the gauge moves.

if i go until my light comes on (~ 50 miles) i am around 340; i usually get around 23 and i do drive hard, just not all the time a lot of my tanks are highway miles; so it all really depends on what type of driving you do...
Well 2 days ago it caught up with the real gas in the tank.(the gauge did) Now i filled the tank up again and the guage went only little more then half way again:[. (just like what happened last time). Is it the type of gas i'm useing? or what.
Run an instrument cluster check.
With ignition off, press and hold the mileage resset button in.
Turn key to accessories position.
Wait then the digital readout should read "test 01"
release the reset button.
The readout will cycle though a pile of numbers.
The guages will now move to full deflection and back to zero.
If your fuel guage does not pass this test then you will have dropped a coil in the guage.
