Fuel Filter Location??

Where is the fuel filter on my 1995 325is. I got a filter, but can't find the filter.

on the drivers side,
under the engine,
toeards the rear,
in a hole thats a pain in the ass to get to

still having trouble, follow the fuel lines.
dont forget to purge the gas lines.(remove your gas cap 2 release pressure.)

rubber gloves are very nice too! have fun

Can I just get a filter from pepboys etc. or do I have to get OEM from the stealers?

buy MAHER filters.

DONT buy that stuff from pep-boys.

i get mine from TURNERMOTORSPORTS.com for 5 or 6 bucks. call them and order a few, along w/oil filters. its probably cheaper that pepboys anyway.

there isnt a whole lot of parts u will need to buy from the stealership. i have 2 bmw's, and i have never gone to them, for anything except to test drive the new rides. and thats FREE!!!!!!

I changed my fuel filter yesterday and car drives a whole lot better. If you havent dont this in a while, I strongly reccommend you do it.

How can I know when I will need to change my fuel filter?
I don't have any records around that show it has been replaced, although I might have been.
How often do you usually change the fuel filter?

well, you can't really open the filter and see if it needs to be replaced, if you don't know when the last time it was replaced, just go ahead and replace it. its easy as can be, and should be done every 40k miles. can cause surging, and lagging while driving.

ahh i can't wait to change my fuel filter along with my plugs... I got my car a while back and have been waiting to get these little things done. I'm hoping for a slightly better running car.
