Hi all,
What figures should I be looking at for a 1995 318i?
It would appear that I'm getting about 20MPG through town & a little more on a run.
What ways could I use to improve this?
Sorry if these are dumb noob questions, but hey, I'm just a dumb noob!! :P
My display says taht im getting 29 mpg on the highway. I dont think thats quite accurate though i will have to check and see. Yours will be better since its a 318.

last week i was concerned b/c i was getting like 16 or 17 mpg with my 325is
so i went and got some maintainance done (fuel injectors cleaned, oil change, etc..). and all this week i started driving in 5th gear while going 35 mph, instead of 3rd gear
now this week i have noticed im getting about 24.7 mpg, quite and improvement
so i recommend you try using 5th gear more to improve your mileage, unless you drive an automatic, then you should try getting some maintainance done

I have a 96 318i 5sp and I get 27 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway.
I wouldn't recommend driving in 5th gear in the city as a BMW engine loves to rev high, as it was designed to do that.

I consistentily get 22mpg city and around 37-40 mpg on the highway. 300ish mile trip takes exatly half a tank of gas. And this is at speeds including and mostly in excess of 70 mph
