Fuel Delivery Issue? - BMW Forum

I believe that I have a fuel delivery issue. More specifically, I think my fuel filter/pump or a conecting hose has a leak. Without knowing the anatomy of my car specifically, just aft of my driver side firewall I have a mild leak. The last time I was under the car, I do recall seeing a cylinder shaped object. I haven't looked closely, but I am assuming it's either the fuel filter/pump or one of the conecting hoses. Anyway, it causes an odd idle as if the car (92 318is) was running on 3.5 cylinders. Hopefully that is all it is. I'd hate for it to be an injector or worse.

Can you take a picture of what you think is leaking and post it here?

I am computer illiterate (took 4 times to spell computer too). So, no on the photo as of right now.

Anyway, I also should have added I know for sure there is a leak. I just don't know if it is the culprit. But from my knowledge, I am pretty damn sure that is the problem.

Well the fuel filter should be on the left side underbody and have a thin metal cover shielding it. If you remove the cover you can access the fuel filter and see if 1 of the hoses is leaking, or more commonly a hose clamp is either broken or loose.
