Frustrated with elcetric switches

Hi all well on my new(to me) 1st BMW a 1997 328ic has proven to be somewhat frustrating, let me list my whoes
1 the top goes up when it wants to (so the switch needs to come out)
the master winow control switch that powers all four windows works intermediately (so it needs to come out)
as you all know these things can get expensive so any tips on how to remove them without breaking them I am hoping that maybe I can clean the contacts or somthing to make them work here in San Diego

dont let me mention the POS radio turn it on and it goes full blast with no tone at all
any way the switches are my concern for the moment

thanks all

there are 2 things that control electrics.... the switch and the relay. for the troubles you complain of; it could be 1 or the other.

WHAT I WOULD DO: look on eBay for the replacement switches. many are used and cheap but in good working order(with seller warranties). When you get them, notice the locks and latches and that should give u an idea how it pops out of the panels ;-)

after they've been changed and the assembly still doesn't work; suspect the relays.... (am sure someone on bimmerwerkz will be more than willing to assist u in locating those).

your total cost for parts not more than $150.- for the things you complain of-that certainly better than going to a shop and be charged more than that, not to mention the boost to ur ego for a job well done ;-)

There's a solution to everything bro... frustration? *BAHHHH... i don't even know that word ;-)
