I am new to this forum so don't take it so hard on me.
In DK where I live there are no decent forums so I choose this one as my main forum from now one.
I own a E36 from 96.
I want to upgrade the front lights to xenon.
Question is , can Xenon lights be installed in thi type of front lights ? :
or
Or only on this ?:

the hella ones are quite expensive...1 grand a set...but well worth it. I saw it on a black e36 the other day, those lights really attract peoples eyes, as they were all purple...let alone the quality of hella xenons, gave a nice output of light! definately hella would be a choice. but if you get some strong ballast (philips) or something u kno, up there. then it should work on MOST (not any) ellipsoid. be aware, if you are going to change your headLAMPS, lots of them now switch to H3 instead of the original 9006 and 9005. so be careful when ordering seperately...sorry for makin this long! good luck and if anything goes through, pix would be nice to show....

Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 ...........$9.52 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 .......... $10.00 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon
Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 .......... $10.32 per gallon
Evian water9 oz $1.49..........$21.19 per gallon?
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ........... $33.60 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 ........ $123.20 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .... $178.13 per gallon
ha ha. Hellas are not a grand a set but more like half that (unless of course you meant with HID's, in that case any decent set of ellipsoids are gonna run that). They are also very aftermarket looking IMO, and talke away from the agressive look of the e36's front end.
As I'm sure M3FX will explain (as it has already been done so in one of the title threads in top of this forum) ZKW and Bosch are the two OEM headlight makers for BMW. I would recomend one of these two, as the build quality, fit, finish, and performance are first rate. :wink

Agreed!!!!
Also those Chromed out Ebay AfterMarkets look way cheap to be hanging off the front end of your baby!!!
If you got money get the ZKW+HIDs for like $360 basic + $300 more for Bosch Xenon HIDs preinstalled!!!! Thats the way to go...see umnitza pics below

First lights are HELLA , second ones are some Ebay stuff I found and the third ones are FK.
Now , the main question is ... what should I buy as Headlights ? Which one of them ? Money is not a problem and I live in Europe.
As HID , I will buy HELLA.
Which of the 3 should I buy to get the best light , to look good , to have Angel eyes also ??
I can also buy this complete set :
This is a Hella complete set but I don't think they have angel eyes , and this is one thing I want. ghead

The FK ones are Depos. Still good lights, but the lowest acceptable quality. Hellas are better, but the light looks to small IMO.

I just want to buy something that looks good and preferrably dark as my car is dark blue.

if you are set on going with hella i would go with the black ones instead of the chrome ones...you said yourself you want something dark since your car is dark blue. plastic with a chrome finish is by no means dark. also in the pictures you showed of the hella lights there were angel eyes in there, they are just very small.

Yep , you are right.
Hella are not plastic ... forbiden in EU and I hate chrom on the lights
I can se some small angel eyes as you say on them , I think I will go with this as DEPO and ZKW are nowhere to find in Denmark but maybe I'll import some from USA.
Can I still install Xenon on any of this headlights or the clear glas is a MUST ?
