| Front bearings from Car Spares UK beware
Please tell me if its my fault being a cheap skate or if you think ive been messed around!
I just changed my front wheel bearing on my 318is 1998 E36 and the part i ordered from Car Spares in the UK were completely wrong.
Accross 3 branches in the midlands they all stocked the incorrect part.
There are 2 options for wheel bearings the expensive and the just slightly cheaper (budget) bearings.
The budget bearings or hub assembly will not fit the car.
You cannot rotate the hub when the part is fitted the bearing is not correctly set into the hub assembly or the part is meant for a different model.
I checked against other parts off the shelf in different outlets just in case i had the ''dodgy one'' but they were all the same.
Bottom line they are selling parts that will not fit your car and i wasted a day farting around trying to get the more expensive assembly.
I bought the expensive part and it went straight on no problems 30 min job.
Not happy with Car Spares at all. Morrel of the storey is i should have gone for the more expensive part to begin with but Car Spares should not be selling something that it is not. Ive had a right game with this and wouldnt want the next man to have waste time like this.
