hey guyz,
i have a 92 325i... jus recently purchased it... the car runs pretty smooth except for one thing... when i reving around 4000 and shift from 3rd to 4th.... i get no power.. i would b flooring the gas pedal and still no extra kick...there is this huge delay and i would have to wait for the freakin rpms to hit like 4500 after shifting to 4th to actually feel any power... what can it be?
any and all help is appreciated... thanx...

hmm it may be ur ecu is shagged mate, sometimes it can get corrupted, u may need to get it reprogrammed. does it feel like when u put the car in high gear at a slow speed ?
thats really weird the only thing i could say for you to do would be to go to a shop and get it looked at, yes itll cost ya, but hey iots btter than having no power in 4th eh?
the clutch was jus recently replaced... i doubt it's the clutch... but like t_venom said, it feels like when u put the car in high gear at a low speed...
after a few seconds.. 10 or more when it picks up a little more speed, thas when i start feeling the push... it jus seems weird cuz there is such a big difference in the response between when i shift from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th.. shifting to 4th is jus so sluggish as if the car doesnt want to move...
whas this ecu programming that venom is talking about? how much do u think thas gonna run me? and can local garages do it or would i have to take it to a dealer?
