Fog Light problem - BMW Forum

Hey guys, i'm a little frustrated. i bought new fog lights from bavauto. before i put them in, i tested the wires for power and got a reading of 11-12 volts. i bought new bulbs hooked everything up, but no light.

: i'm not sure which wire is pos or neg ( cause one is brown and the other is yellow w/ brown stripe) but i switched them around and still nothing. sorry for thw long post.

did u do the whole wireing urself or were the wires already there? if they were there then there is only one way to connect them with that clip thats on the end of them.

thanks for the reply warnox, i used the existing wires, but, the clips aren't there, it's just the wires with the black rubber boots. let me know if i can explain more.

brown is ground

other is pos

check your fuses too

i think i have figured what the problem is. i have a voltage drop in one of the fuses that go to the fog lights. so now i have to narrow it down to where exactly is the drop coming from.
