is there anyway that i can find out the vin that was originally the car that my engine came from? is there a place on the engine where a tag is hiden and i cant find it? i just would like to know, because ive never really found this out before...
There is an engine number. It should be stamped on the intake side of the engine block. It is either above the starter motor, or along the mating surface for the oil pan.
