hey guys, i am new here. just got me a 97 328i sedan saturday. morea green, fully loaded, and just about stock everything. 58k miles and i got it for $11,500, which i think was a pretty good deal.
i plan on modding it somewhat, but not going overboard. already got an appointment with "the tint doctor" for tomorrow. gonna get 18% in the back/back sides and 25% on the front sides.
after that i definitely need to get rid of the yellow lights. euro style clear corners, tailights and parking markers are first on the list. any suggestions as to brand or place to get it?
i also want to get some ellipsoid headlights but i think those might have to be put off until xmas. i hate the yellow dimly lit lowbeams it currently has. do you think i should get new silverstar bulbs and put those in or wait until i get the ellipsoids? i think im gonna go with the DEPO brand instead of zkw just because of the price factor...
i really dont know anything about modding/working on cars at all, so i am here asking for all your help! ive already learned so much just from reading these forums but i know i have a LONG way to go before i can be considered a "bmw enthusiast".
anyways, heres a pic of it in it's current shape, but it won't be like this for long

nice car, to the forums and just my opinion on the tints, i think you should get all the same shade, it would look way much better. in terms of corners definatley do not go ebay cheap style. they kinda suck and in the long run you will be paying more. (because you will go through many of them) i would say go for something more OEM like bavauto or something

do you really think a 5-8% difference would be that noticeable?
I think so, the tint is all illegally dark on my ride and it looks really nice! The only problem is if you go too dark you can't really see anything at night.

well the tints were done yesterday. on the advice from this forum, i got 18% all around (except on front windshield - only allowed AS-1 visor) instead of 2 different shades. it looks GREAT! if anyone is interested in a pic i will try to get one asap.
