I have a '95 318i 4-door (black). Looks just like this guys ( http://www.bmw-forums.com/forum/uploads/po...-1082438321.jpg ).

I am being forced to change tint because i got a ticket for having the front side windows slightly tinted. My tint is almost turning purple anyways....

I need to know what will look best on my car.
I need to have the clear UV for my front side windows, so I can only darken my back sides and back windsheild. How dark should I get it? Limo tint is for sure way too dark. I want somthing that will be darker than what I have (look at the picture, its the same), but I also want it to be see through.

ALSO, the most important, what will look best on my car? A lighter or darker tint?
Since my front side windows need to have no darkness, should I get a medium tint (lets say 35-50 or 20-35)? If you have any good pictures to show me, please show me some. It was hard to find good black 4-doors with clear front side and darkened back side/back windsheild pictures.

Last thing, on my back windsheild, at the very top right side corner, it looks like the rubber sealing stuff is coming off. A tiny peice is missing and it looks like it is slightly coming out, so i keep pushing it back in. I see part of the end of the windsheild (hardly). Is there something i should do? Is it something that I need to get fixed?

How much will it cost if i need to get it repaired?

Thanks!

Brien

cool thanks for the links. i think i will either go with a 30-35 or 25ish, but not sure what will look best on my black car...

the thing i am afraid of is that it will look bad to have darker back windows and no darkness fronts....

any opinions?

...damn dutch, nice boobies. who is that, your girlfriend.ha

nah, I don't think it will look bad at all with tint on the back windows and none on the driver's and passenger's. On my jeep i used to have 5% on the backs and rear window and 15 on the driver and passenger. The 15 was too dark at night so i took it off. That 5 is really really dark at night.

Right now on my 325i it's got 25 in the back (maybe 15 I'm not really sure) and 35 in the front, looks good.

Good luck with the tint

How tough are the cops on you for having tint where you live? I would just get 35 all around, even on the front. Just roll you windows down if you get pulled over.

go with the 35%, man

it looks good, and your not gonna be pissed at yourself because you cant see out of your back windows

20% might not be too bad, i just bought some last night, and tried to put it on today and failed miserably. i cant tell how dark it will look, ill have to put up a picture once it actually gets finished

I believe the darker you get, the more ricer it looks. I agree with TMac325is, 35% still looks classy and is dark enough to be noticibly good looking.

well, cops dont seem to care too much. sometimes some1 will get fix it tickets though.

the thing is, i just got pulled over for speeding, then the cop added window tinting to the ticket. I guess i have to go legal.

also, do all of you think that it will look okay if i have 35 on all 3 back windows, but the 2 sidefront are clear?

also......also, do you guys know what i am talking about with my back windshield? can i just have some1 reseal it? or will that cost a lot? is there a way to just fill in the space with something...i was thinking about that "cock"stuff that you seal stuff with..but maybe there is a rubber version... i dont know what i am talking about...

CAULK...but that was funny. I think I know what you mean. It's the seal between the body and the window? You could get some all weather caulk, but I would spend the money to get it resealed. I bet you could get it done at some auto glass place for cheaper than the dealer.

how is dark tint ricer? colored tint like yellow on a blue car is ricer, i have limo tint on my car and it looks so much classier with it.

anyways, the limo tint is hard to see out of at night, at least at first, then you get used to it, luckily i haven't had any problems with cops and it though, but then again if a cop pulled me over id roll down the front windows before he got up to be so he couldn't see what it was like. but 35% is a good way to go if you don't want completly black but nicely tinted

limo tint doesn't equal ricer, crappy tint with air bubbles, and peeling equals ricer

I agree, what I mean to say if it's really dark and makes the car less attractive, it looks like a ricer. Certain tint fits certain cars. If it's a bad match, it makes it look ricer. Sorry for being unclear.
