okay so first do my US spec headlights use H1 bulbs? cant remember?.. but anyways im looking at these becuase my headlights are all cloudy and barely produce light http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33710 they say the h1 bulbs for the lo and hi beams and not included, if my US spec ones run on H1 wouldnt that make them anymore bright and it turn not worth it, or do they run on something else (the us ones) also does the projector that the lights in the link actaully do what it is supposed to, and will that make the H1 bulbs produce more light, pretty much i need brighter lights, the angel eyes would be a plus, and for not as much as 550$ haha
First, US spec lights are 9005 and 9006, not H1. H1 is Euro-spec only.
Second, it is not the bulb that produces more light, but the way the light is handled. Projectors focus the light farther down the road, increasing your range by 30%. The standard US reflectors are like cheap flashlights with cheesy aluminum to reflect the light. The ellipsoids are like mag-lites you can focus.
Also, $250 is not a bad price.

yeah 250$ isnt bad but they have angel eyes too, isnt that cheap for ellipsoids with angel eyes? anyways, do places around sell H1 bulbs like shucks or napa, or are they harder to find, so pretty much these headlights will be brighter than my stock us spec ones El presidente? What about the angel eye rings you thyink they will be noticable?
okay just out of curiosity i kept looking around ebay and found these really cheap headlights http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33710 they say tehy are projectors, but how come the low beams use h4 lights and then hi beams the 9006 maybe 9005 i cant remember, would tha tmean these would be about the same as stock headlights or are h4 bulbs bright too with the projectors?
also i was just looking around and i think it may be cheaper to the route of buying ellipsoids without angel eyes and then buying a set of angel eyes to install of those, how many people have done it that way, is it hard? worth it, and what do you need tool wise to do this? how long does it normally take?
I wouldn't go with theose ebay ones. Hella, ZKW, and Depo are really only brands to consider. Hella and ZKW are OE manufacturers. The depos are near OE quality. The rest usually aren't anywhere near it. The glass is usually very thin, the projector glass isn't cut well, or is thin, or not curved well, etc.
Any auto parts store will carry H1. OEM fogs are H1.
As for installing Angel Eyes, you might as well buy them installed, as it is a pain to install them. Its not hard, but very tedious, as you have to remove the headlight, take it apart, install the AEs, wire them, put it back together, reinstall, and aim.

Personally, I'd just go ZKW elipsoids without any bells and whistles (angel eyes...) Cheep, and huge increase in lighting preformance. The angel eyes is a 150$ cosmetic thing, Looks really cool, but I don't care for snazzy flashy bling bling stuff
dont got anything less than depo....hella and ZKW are the very best...for ellipsoids...the angel eyes on those ebay things are crap ...they run on LEDs..you need DDE lighting....for all the best headlights and angels eyes go to www.umnitza.com.....they are the best and most trusted....
