Fault Codes.

How can I 'view' the fault codes on my car, its a '93. I know there is a manual method of doing it but I have no idea how to do it. I haven't got any kind of a tool for this so yea.

Turn your key to the second position (all dash lights on) and push your pedal to the floor 5 times quickly.

I believe that is how it is done on my 318

Just tried doing that on mine, and it dosnt do anything. Is that only for American models?

yeah that manual method doesnt do anything on mine either, but thnx anyway guys

oh you know how when you turn the key into key position 1 or 2 while holding down the trip reset button some test is done. What exactly does this do? when i did it the car went trough a few stages displaying 1....some number 2.....some number and up to 6 or 7 and after that all the gauges went all the way up then back down.
