Whilst driving our BMW 3 series at approx. 20 miles per hour coming up to a junction the passenger air bag exploded and broke my wifes nose and also knocked out her front teeth, there was no impact or bash the airbags just shot out. Can anyone who has experienced any similar problems please let us know as BMW insist this has never happened before.

While traveling in my wife's 2003 325xi on Memorial Day, she ran over a piece of road debris that somehow triggered the airbags. The passenger-side front airbag over-deployed and almost ripped my nose off and did a lot damage to my face. I believe there is a problem with the settings and I am exploring what can be done about this not occuring again for others.
