well i went to wash my car late at night and when i got to the carwash i noticed the smell of coolant. well turns out my upper rad hose split. a small one but coolant everywhere. well i got home (cops stopped me for speeding, let me go without a check after i showed them the problem) the needle stayed at half the whole way home except a few times it went close to 3/4 .. was not smart of me, should have gotten a tow. added some water and hopefuly ill get it replaced first thing in the morning.
first problem since the new engine, hopefully my stupidity wont compound into more.
all is well now, got the new hose on, more coolant and bleed the system, no problems so far.. yeah hte cops were pretty cool, and thank god there was coolant everywhere
otherwise they woudnt beleive me
Furious I am giving you negative reputation for driving with a coolant leak. If it happens again i will have to confiscate your car in the name of BMW Abuse prevention

I had that problem. If you have an intake, use the lower radiator hose to replace the upper one. The loss of two extra stupid bends makes the hose stronger, trust me.
