Failed emissions CO% Now what??? - BMW Forum

Still new to the world of BMW's- after going for my e-test, I passed all areas accept for the CO% AT IDLE. The limit is 0.7 to pass, but i paut out 0.91 . Mechanic suggested running diagnostics- but maybe there is an easier cheaper fix? I do have a OBD ll scanner, but again- I have no warning lights on. It passed at 2500 RPM. I guess it is running rich? I have no codes lighting up- so where should I start?? HELP!

Check my response in the newbie lounge.

At idle seems a bit weird... possibly idle vacuum motor or cats blocked.

Did the mechanic check that the O2 sensors on the exhaust actually work?

Haha!- I can't even find the Newbie lounge! I don't know if they checked the cats or not. How many o2 sensors are on a 98 328? pricey?

From memory those things have 4 sensors.. as it has two cats.. one before each cat, and one after each cat.
