Exhaust And Intake! - BMW Forum

Hey guys i have a 97 328i manual trans with 119,000 miles on it. The engine is in perfect condition and runs beautifully and was check out by bmw which said it was in excellent condition!

Anyways i was wondering if its even worth putting on an intake or exhaust on my car with that many miles on it. Im mean dont get me wrong the car is fastt and runs strong but i was wondering if i should do these upgrades?

Or should i do something else?

haha yeah im definitely thinking about an exhaust and intake but dont know if i should due the the amount of miles i have

118k is alot , im pushin about 68k on my 94 and im thinking im getting up there

118k is A lot...but not a lot for a bmw. 68k on a 94?? Man you need to drive that thing more.

haha i have 33k on my 98 328iS. but im out of $$$. so ya deffinatly do those mods. not too much noticable power but the sound is worth it!

i have 96,000 on my 97 328is and it runs great. i have a ECIS intake on it and it helps performance and sounds great. Dont let the miles on your car prevent you from all the great sounds of a BMW.

Nah that isn't too low, go for it.

Worst case scenario, if you find yourself selling the car earlier than planned, those 2 partical parts seems to have a very hot aftermarket for them.

I almost bought the Dinan CAI used the other day, instead gonna try the Cosmos CAI kit. If I don't like it I know I can won't be stuck with a worthless product.

Go for it! I have 138k and she is still puring. Im going for it sooner or later. After watching Deloriant's video and hearing his exhaust, thats what i'm getting. BTW, it sounds so amazing.

ok im thinking about putting on an intake and a chip first off...then an exhaust..how does that sound?

Also, from what site can i order the Dinan Cold Air intake for an e36?

If not the dinan i might just go with the AA Tuning one.
