I would assume M3, although I would think they would use the same (if not really similar) hangers. Maybe you could reinforce these hangers or soemthing, ive seen so many M3 exhausts on e36's that have broken hangers. It seems almost every other e36 with an M3 exhaust has crooked tips!

I have the 325 ones on there now, and it sways side to side on turns, but it is also broken too, which probablly plays a big role. Im just not sure if there are enough holes in the car for m3 mounts
Did you buy it with the M3 exhaust? Any idea what hangers came with it? I would expect the M3 hangars to be the correct spec. seeing as how most exhausts that fit the M3 also fit the 325 and 328 directly.

I would think they are the same, although the M3 system seems to be a little larger. Matter of fact, Pelican parts shows different part numbers for the hangers. One for 325, 328, one for M3.
I just checked my parts CD. The rubber part of the mount and the metal hanger has different part numbers for the 325 and the M3. This is just a guess, but I would think the 325 mounts would hold sufficiently. If you are worried, I would order the M3 mounts.

They have different brackets as well. I read that the M3 ones don't fit onto the regular 3 series and I'm guessing that goes the same for the other way around.
edit: What I read is that the brackets don't fit onto the car. It oughta fit onto the exhausts just fine (if the mounting locations are the same) The rubber bits have different part numbers because, like other bushings, it's stiffer.
