hey guys...

friend of mine owns a 98 328is 2 door BMW..he wants to upgrade the exhaust, i know borla and a few others provide a full cat back system. i took a look under the car and notice he might be able to get away with just mufflers and tips for now.

my question is, what size is the pipe that runs from the front to the muffler..it looks to be about 2". Can anyone tel me what size it is so i can point him in the right direction as to what size muffler to purchase.

thanks!

I want to say 2 1/4 inches for the duals. You can have a shop run a 3" from the cat back for some weight savings and gains in hp.
