euro m3 race/showcar build! 56k go ride a pony... [UPDATED: 08/13/2007]
This isnt my car, it is my cusins and uncles that they are building as I type. This thread is made by popular demand. It's been a slow process as they dont have much time to do it but it is slowly getting built. They do update me everytime something happens so hopefully i will keep you all up to date as i learn more about it myself.
The body of the car is a US ///M3 which has been racing in the grand american series for a while now.
The engine is from a euro m3 doner car that was bought in tenn.
The body was then brought into thier race shop where they stripped it down to bare frame and reinforced and pretty much perfected the body to the point it was when it came from the factory.

Reason: updated thread; updating title for member
The body has now been reinforced, and fixed and now has been painted white to match thier other racecars. (Mazda Miata, Acura Integra)
All i know is they are revalving some jrz suspension to be setup to perform well on all their local tracks (Flordia area). They have ordered the fiberglass fenders and hood and they are also rebuilding and upgrading some of the internals of the euro engine but i dont know details yet. I should get a spec sheet of the incoming parts very soon.
I will update this as i recieve updates myself.

haha yeah they have other cars to satify thier driving craves while this one is in progess though... like an M coupe, m3 comp., hes in the market right now for a ferrari also... plus they both race instruct to they get to drive whatever car thier students bring to the track that day... (when they have time..)
Just got an email today from my uncle that they have gotten the engine in and are planing on having the car on the track by october, and ready for its first race by thanksgiving! We'll see if they keep to plans this time. But for now here are some pics to enjoy!
I'm going to email him tonight about a spec sheet... ill let you all know...
The car is now ready for the track! Heres some pics of the finished toy... hes compiling a spec sheet right now and is going to send it in a separate email...
Nice. My guess is that the hood is CF and has the usual fitment issues
correct... i know its CF and that would be my guess on why its like that... my guess is they fixed it by now since they seem to be anal about the smallest things on thier cars... gah i really want to see the final spec list... he needs to hurry up and send it!
WOW MASS CONFUSION! THAT RACECAR WITH ZILINSKY ON THE SIDE IS NOT THE FINISHED CAR! THAT IS A PARTS CAR IN WHICH THEY ARE PULLING SOME PARTS FOR THE REAL CAR!
