Euro Ellipsoid Headlight

hey guys i just recently upgraded to this headlight, i was wondering what type of bulbs does it take? cause i opened it and it looked like the one from my fog light H1 i think... umm anyone know where to buy these kind of lights, id like the really bright lookin ones B) thanks in advance (by the way, do you use the same type of bulb for the high/low beam??)

I have Philips VisionPlus lights, there H1 format, but it differs.
The early euro models have H1 headlight, later models have H7.
It's imprinted in the glass, I think.

You have so many types in Europe;

ZKW and Bosch, with or without the "dots" on the lamp, etc.

You can also take your original one out, and there it would be printed on.

But, anyway, my Philips VisonPlus lights gives me lots of extra sight, and much more white light production

The best direct replacement bulb is the Sylvania Silverstar. They can be found at almost any autoparts store in an h1 format. I've tried many other expensive bulbs, and these are undoubtedly the best.

Agreed. Silverstars are the best. Most of your ellipsoids are going to be H1, but some are H7. If your's look like H1, then thats what they are. H7s are about twice the size.

Related---> I bought the Demon Eyes upgrade kit for my Euro lights from Tuner. They didn't come with blue bulbs...how in the hell am I going to get blue color out of them? I have to buy blue H1 bulbs seperately?

If you want blue lights (not blue rings) you can just find some in a h1 format. Try ebay or autozone.

ya prolly try ebay, thats where i got mine... i went to kragen, autozone, pepboys and they dont carry H1's!! argh!! only saw H3 and some others

those lights will only make the car look like a wanna-be HID car. In reality they will actually decrease you effective light output too. Really the only options to consider are silverstars or real HID. Anything else is generally unsafe or just plain crap, or both.

i guess ill just get another pair of silverstars for my highbeam, then save up for HID...
