I have a 1994 325I coupe. Yesterday when i was driving home from work in very heavy rain the engine cut out and wouldnt start again. In the end i bump started it and it ran, but with afew clinders not working. I managed to get it home.
Any ideas? the car done about 50,000 miles.

Second problem once i got the car home i put it in the garage, i had the drivers side window down, left it over night, now the window wont go back up ghead The moter is trying to turn and the mechanisum moves abit but it still wont go back up.
Any ideas?

Thanks
James

I had this issue once (the window) does it come up when you close the door? It should only come up about an inch, though. If it does, open and close the door until it reaches the top of the track. Then, it should work.

As far as the raining and cutting out..... I don't know. Have you checked the battery?

try pushing in on the top of the door, just below the glass.....a few times. the motor that adjusts the doors will inch it up a bit at a time cuz it thinks that right now its at the top of the door.

This happened to me a month or two ago in my 92 318is. I just assumed that I had gotten water in my alternator, after a few sunny and dry days it cleared right up. used

i have a window problem as well. to the club. i visited a couple repair shops who offered no aid other than to replace the entire motor & relay assembly. the window will still roll up but i have to keep pressing it like a damn video game. there's a relay that turns kills the motor if you hold the switch down. HAS ANYBODY REPAIRED THIS PROBLEM BEFORE(maybe by just repairing the relay) ?
