Engine Vibrates

Hey the other day i noticed when i opend the hood with the engine running, i can see it kinda shaking or vibrating, any ideas what may be the cause of it?? the spark plugs are new, the oil and other maintenance is done regulary, also how can i find out if there is any outstanding recalls on this vehicle?? thanks

I think its supposed to do that...

Also don't panic if you enter a silent room and hear a beating sound from your chest...it's only your heart...and yes its suppose to beat...like a car's engine vibrate...

Can you be more specific on the vibration?
When you are in the vehicle, do you feel alot fo vibes at idle?

LOL actully the day after i changed my spark plugs the vibration has gone away, before when you were in the drivers seat you could feel the vibration when you were at stop signs or traffic lights. but does anyone have info on recalls on this car?

That could be it. Also, what kind of spark plugs did you use? OEM?

b4 i had bosch platinum 4+ now i changed them to njk platinum g power

platnium plugs are not the best with our ignition system. OEM plugs is one of the few instances when OEM is the best option. THe BMW "shake" is a common and normal characteristic of our cars. Every car has its own personality, thats why I love these cars..
