engine and transmission swap

I have a 1992 318i doing really bad, i have a guy with a auto 1994 325i with rough tranny was wondering would my m42 and 5 speed work
In it my engine is strong and i part out my 318i and put it in the 325I with little problems is it an easy job if i use my car as a part car?

You want to swap your M42 into the 325i? You can, just make sure you keep all the wiring harness's from the M42. All the manual components can transfer into the 325i. You will need the 318 as a donor.

i have a complete 318i with really bad suspension problems and more just too much to fix, I fixing to get a 1994 325i with a rough engine and transmission ( auto ) so just want to swap my m42 and transmission in the 325i. both sedans, 318i is 5 speed, 325i is auto. would be a easier because i have a donor car?
