Engine Swap

I have a 1993 320I sedan that is in need of a new transmission, today i saw in a local autopac auction a 1995 BMW 325I...my question is can i swap the 325I engine with my 320I? the 325I is cheaper than the rebuilt transmission that i need to get for me 320I! Any help is appreciated!

Yes you can.

There is a lot of information on this site about engine swaps. It will take a bit of searching and reading to find it, and is typically only in a post or two per good topic. But an engine swap is also a lot of work or very expensive. Either way it takes a good bit of time and or money to get it done. Once you have found out what you can we'll be happy to fill in any questions you are still coming up with.
