Engine fault codes

I have a problem...... I've read in this forum about an angine check method. This as described on the next site: http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticl...ode_Reading.htm The car I am talking about is a 1991 325i e36. When doing the check nothing disappaers on the (which??) display!

Could someone tell me which 'check engine' light will blinked? The only warning light I think it could be, is the yellow 'CHECK' light from the check control used

Maybe no OBDI or OBDII in my car (is an Euro 325i)???

OBD is an emissions standard, which the US is very anal about... i'm not sure if that method will work on a euro.

but for the record, it is the yellow light on the dash cluster that says "CHECK ENGINE"

"CHECK CONTROL" is different.

thanks desmo! Strange this is not on euros..... Is there maybe someone who can post a pic of the yellow light you talking about...?? Or a pic of the dash cluster ?

Like to know what exactely is different
